New Year DIY’s

29 Dec

Now that Christmas has gone, your home may be feeling a bit bare! (Small confession to make here, I put up 2 bits of tinselly stuff that I haven’t taken down yet). But there is always New Years!

Amanda over at Here’s Looking At Me, Kid has this adorable DIY decoration that, as she says, you can leave up for the whole month of January…

Poppytalk Handmade have this lovely driftwood DIY that will instantly brighten up and add some colour to your house, not only for the New Year but for all of it!

Design*Sponge also have a great DIY to add an extra bit of sparkle to your New Year celebrations when you pop the champagne cork for 2011!

And if you aren’t going out for New Year but don’t want to sit with idle hands all night, here are a few DIYs to keep you going until the clock strikes 12!

Another Design*Sponge DIY! If you’re not drinking this New Year’s Eve, keep your French Press coffee hot with this lovely cozy you can make yourself!

Need a change in the kitchen but feeling the post-Christmas pinch? Change up that boring old white fridge into this Faux Bois lovely with a DIY from Elizabeth of Delightfully Tacky. It should keep you awake until midnight!

And make sure you keep your tootsies warm in the winter evening’s with this lovely Mary-Jane slipper DIY from Good Knits.

So whether you go out or stay in this New Year’s make sure you have a safe and fun time! I’ll be spending it in with my sister watching Jools Holland’s Hootenanny, DVDs and most likely a few Poirot’s and Miss Marple’s! Time for me to start writing out my goals for 2011 before it gets here!
