Exciting times!

This crafty fox has some Crafty Foxes news!

Yes.

It’s true.

There are exciting times ahead. Why, I hear you ask?? Exciting time number one is that after months of deliberating, I’ve finally decided to open my own Etsy shop – Crafty Foxes. I will be selling my handmade wares in the big wide handmade world. The official open date is December 1st (a little while away I know), with the reason being that I work full time and need to stagger the making so I’m not bogged down right at the end and panicking I have nothing to sell. I just hope I have a least one person that likes my stuff enough to buy it but my friends and family like the things I give them as presents, so fingers crossed! The image above is my makeshift logo for now (I sketched it at work today).

On to exciting time number two.

To celebrate my little announcement I’ve decided to have myself a little GIVEAWAY!! Yes, you heard right! I’ve taken the plunge and got myself organised enough to do a giveaway. It’s my first and I’m a little nervous about it but I’m really excited to be doing it. And to top it all off, there will be 2 winners!!

Some of these lovely things could be yours!

Some of these lovely things could be yours!

Each winner will receive a package containing one of my felt heart brooches (they’re stuffed with polyfil and are nice and squidgy in a good way!!), one of my crocheted headbands (it will be embellished with buttons from my button stash), one of the above postcards (either a knitting rabbit or cool little owl), and a surprise gift – this will be chosen once the winners are announced as I want it to be personalized for the person, although it won’t necessarily be handmade. AND it will all be inside a handmade tote bag!

So I guess you want to know how to enter the First Ever Crafty Foxes Autumn Giveaway, huh? It’s simple. Just leave me a comment about your favourite Autumn accessory and why you love it so much. It could be a hat, a scarf, a pair of gloves or mittens…it could even be a decoration you put out each year around this time! Mine is a soft pink knitted hat (that currently needs a wash so won’t be pictured yet) that gets put on my head around this time of year and then doesn’t come off until the weather gets a whole lot warmer.

Toasty warm!

These fingerless gloves (there is another one but I haven’t mastered the art of no hand photo taking, hehe) are also a favourite too. My mum knitted them for me a couple of years ago and they’re chunky and warm and soft in just the right amounts.

The closing date for this giveaway is the 9th October. That’s 2 weeks to get your entries in. The winners will be chosen at random by my mum on the 10th (it’s going to be names in a woolly hat) – she’s coming down and we’re going to the Knitting and Stitching Show in London. I’m so excited!! You can enter as many times as you want but be aware you can’t win both prizes – there will be two winners and who wants two lots of the same things?

So good luck to all you lovely readers and sorry for the long blog if you’ve reached this part. You are all amazing and I wish you all the best of luck and look forward to reading all your comments!!

xx Crafty love from a Crafty Fox xx
